Maria
Luisa Zorzi started making jewellery in 1979. Her first pieces of work, made of gold and silver, were hand beaten. She used these pieces in the first exhibition of her work. This allowed her to show her imagination and creativity and brought her work to the attention of the best jewellers in Padua, Venice and Rovigo, requesting her collaboration. |

In 1981 Maria Luisa Zorzi, in response to the growing public appreciation of her work, decided to diversify simply from production of her jewellery to direct selling through her own shop. This difficult but necessary move, allowed the creator to have direct contact with her clients and enabled her to develop her particular sensibility to their needs and desires expressing them in her skilled craftsmanship. Maria Luisa's vivid imagination and brilliant inventiveness are realised in the works that originate from ancient methods of creating jewellery by hand, following the traditions of the best Italian goldsmithry. |
